Well I'm back from Europe, and I had a fantastic time. I've always heard that Europe is a very hard, dark place. The Gospel is not known there, and people are hesitant to follow Christ unless you build relationships with them, and witness to them through your lifestyle... which could take many months and years. Praise God, 326 people in Italy and Spain this summer hadn't heard that. Their hearts were ready for salvation after seeing a drama and hearing a simple but true Gospel message. Amen! I absolutely loved the kids on my trip... they make me smile just thinking about them now. The youngest kids on the trip were two thirteen year-old boys, and they were both skaters. I made a deal with them both at the beginning of the trip that I wouldn't have to take them to the emergency room at any point during the month. Any time they were doing something that made me nervous, I would ask them- "Can you see this ending in a violation of our emergency room deal?" Usually they said- "No, I won't hurt myself, I promise!"... and I have to give them credit- they didn't... So many of the kids experienced freedom in their lives... quitting smoking, giving up bad relationships back home, being healed of soul ties, and forgiving their parents... so many things... the ministry that happened with the kids on the trip made the whole thing worth it. I loved Italy the best. There's something about that country that is so special... I'll definitely be back there. Maybe before I go, I'll cut my hair into a mohawk/mullet, because that is definitely the style that's in there... watch out! It's comming here! Italians were cool enough to pull it off, though... If I can figure out how to make a slide-show thing, I'll do that... I have some pretty awesome pictures of Venice... (which, by the way, is just as romantic as it seems like it would be... definitely worth a trip back with my husband someday). As a final note... I lost my cell phone on the trip, so I need you phone number again! You can email it, if you prefer- l.m.green@gmail.com. |
